The hand of the diligent shall bear rule:
but the slothful shall be under tribute. Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. But godliness with contentment is great gain. The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies,
and that seek him with the whole heart. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Have mercy upon me, O God,
according to thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin. Seek the Lord and his strength,
seek his face continually. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Bless the Lord, O my soul:
and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee,
my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
