And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. The wise in heart will receive commandments:
but a prating fool shall fall. Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. For thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants:
and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. My son, forget not my law;
but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life,
and peace, shall they add to thee. And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. There is none holy as the Lord:
for there is none beside thee:
neither is there any rock like our God. He that walketh uprightly,
and worketh righteousness,
and speaketh the truth in his heart.
He that backbiteth not with his tongue,
nor doeth evil to his neighbour,
nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. There are many devices in a man's heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart,
all ye that hope in the Lord. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. He that hideth hatred with lying lips,
and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
