Dependence (2/2)

Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.
Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms.Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. Selah
But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive!But surely, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.
O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right.In you, O Lord, I seek refuge; do not let me ever be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me.
But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.But you, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
From the depths of despair, O Lord, I call for your help. Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer.Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications!
The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up.The Lord makes poor and makes rich; he brings low, he also exalts.
Victory comes from you, O Lord. May you bless your people.Deliverance belongs to the Lord; may your blessing be on your people! Selah
Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship. He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!”Then Job arose, tore his robe, shaved his head, and fell on the ground and worshiped. He said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other.So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
Give us today the food we need.Give us this day our daily bread.

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
You light a lamp for me. The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.It is you who light my lamp; the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.
I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain.I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah
