- I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.
- I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have given me life. - You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.
- Ponder the path of your feet;
then all your ways will be sure. - Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
- There is a way that seems right to a man,
but its end is the way to death. - Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

- For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
- If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
- So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
- Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”.
- I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.
- Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
- So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

- For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
- Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
- Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
