- The Lord is righteous in everything he does;
he is filled with kindness. - It is the same with my word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,

He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through? - No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.

If we die with him,
we will also live with him. - For who is God except the Lord?
Who but our God is a solid rock? - I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.

Return to the Lord your God,
for he is merciful and compassionate,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
He is eager to relent and not punish. - Teach me your ways, O Lord,
that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart,
so that I may honor you. - You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.
- An honest witness does not lie;
a false witness breathes lies. - May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us.
- The Lord detests lying lips,
but he delights in those who tell the truth.
