- The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich:
he bringeth low, and lifteth up. - A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. - The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. - How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace;
that bringeth good tidings of good,
that publisheth salvation;
that saith unto Zion,
Thy God reigneth! - A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
- God setteth the solitary in families:
he bringeth out those which are bound with chains:
but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. - I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
- Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. - For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.
Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
