- Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee. - Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. - Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all
such as are appointed to destruction. - Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
- And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
- Open thy mouth, judge righteously,
and plead the cause of the poor and needy. - For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
- And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
- For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
- For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
- Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord;
and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you:
for I am merciful, saith the Lord,
and I will not keep anger for ever. - Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed,
judge the fatherless,
plead for the widow. - Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.
- Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
- Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,
and thy judgment as the noonday. - How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
- For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
- But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
- And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
- Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
- A fool's lips enter into contention,
and his mouth calleth for strokes. - And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
- If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
from doing thy pleasure on my holy day;
and call the sabbath a delight,
the holy of the Lord, honourable;
and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways,
nor finding thine own pleasure,
nor speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord;
and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth,
and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father:
for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. - Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. - A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion.
The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice:
and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.Next verse!With image
