- When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
remove thy foot from evil. - He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:
he that keepeth thee will not slumber. - But he knoweth the way that I take:
when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
My foot hath held his steps,
his way have I kept, and not declined. - But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
- Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
- He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us;
he will subdue our iniquities;
and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. - If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
from doing thy pleasure on my holy day;
and call the sabbath a delight,
the holy of the Lord, honourable;
and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways,
nor finding thine own pleasure,
nor speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord;
and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth,
and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father:
for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. - Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. - Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
- Teach me to do thy will;
for thou art my God:
thy spirit is good;
lead me into the land of uprightness. - For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.
Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.Next verse!With image
