- Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
- But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
- And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
- And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
- And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
- And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
- For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
- But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
- So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
- And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. - A fool's lips enter into contention,
and his mouth calleth for strokes. - Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
- For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
- And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
- I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
- In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
- The words of a talebearer are as wounds,
and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. - He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us;
he will subdue our iniquities;
and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. - For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
- God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
- For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
- But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
- And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
- But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.Delight thyself also in the Lord:
