- And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
- And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
- And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
- Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.
- For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
- For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
- He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not. - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
- Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
- For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
- Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
- But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
- Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
- And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
- Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men. - Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
- Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
- A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. - If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
- He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
- Since thou wast precious in my sight,
thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee:
therefore will I give men for thee,
and people for thy life. - For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- He that walketh with wise men shall be wise:
but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. - Children's children are the crown of old men;
and the glory of children are their fathers. - But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
