- For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - How much better is it to get wisdom than gold!
and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! - He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. - A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold. - Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
- It is better to trust in the Lord
than to put confidence in man. - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
- For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.
I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,

- Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
- Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues without right. - Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
- To do justice and judgment
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - The desire of a man is his kindness:
and a poor man is better than a liar. - Better is little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble therewith. - Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
- Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
- How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
- A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. - And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
- Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.
- Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
- Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
- Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
- But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.Next verse! With image
