We have happy memories of the godly, but the name of a wicked person rots away. | The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot. |
And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! | Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. |
Please, Lord, please save us. Please, Lord, please give us success. Bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord. We bless you from the house of the Lord. | Save us now, we beg you, Yahweh! I will cause your descendants to become as numerous as the stars of the sky, and I will give them all these lands. And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed. I will do this because Abraham listened to me and obeyed all my requirements, commands, decrees, and instructions. | I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and will give all these lands to your offspring.
