Bible Verses about Conversion

  • If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
  • For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.
  • Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
  • The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
  • Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.
  • For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.

    and your sins like mist;
    return to me, for I have redeemed you.

    and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
    let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,

    “return to me with all your heart,
    with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
  • Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
  • Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin.
  • Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
  • Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.
  • The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
  • Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
