Bible Verses about Conversion

  • If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
  • For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face from you if you return to Him.
  • Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
  • The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
  • Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
  • “For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”
  • So rend your heart, and not your garments;
    Return to the Lord your God,
    For He is gracious and merciful,
    Slow to anger, and of great kindness;
    And He relents from doing harm.
  • Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.
  • Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
  • I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
  • I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
  • Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
  • From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
  • I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions,
    And like a cloud, your sins.
    Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.
  • Let the wicked forsake his way,
    And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
    Let him return to the Lord,
    And He will have mercy on him;
    And to our God,
    For He will abundantly pardon.
  • The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.
  • “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.
  • But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
  • “Now, therefore,” says the Lord,
    “Turn to Me with all your heart,
    With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
  • As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
  • Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin.
  • And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
  • Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
  • Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
  • Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.

Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
