- Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- Thou art my hiding place;
thou shalt preserve me from trouble;
thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. - God is our refuge and strength,

the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. - But I will sing of thy power;
yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning:
for thou hast been my defence
and refuge in the day of my trouble. - Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life. - He shall cover thee with his feathers,
and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. - What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
- But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me;
my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. - I have set the Lord always before me:
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. - For who is God, save the Lord?
and who is a rock, save our God?
The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him.What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
