Jesus (5/8)

  • Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father.
  • So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
  • Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
  • I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
  • But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
  • For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
  • Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
  • Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
  • Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?
  • So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
  • Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
  • Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
  • If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
  • Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
  • For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
  • Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
  • For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.
  • And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
  • So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.”
  • I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.
  • To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
  • Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.
  • No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
  • No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.

As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.Next verse! With image
