Jesus (3/8)

We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another. We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.”And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”
And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain. For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.
I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Who is it that conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish. For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. But for us, There is one God, the Father, by whom all things were created, and for whom we live. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created, and through whom we live.
I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you.No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.
This Jesus is ‘the stone that was rejected by you, the builders; it has become the cornerstone.’For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’
Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!
While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.”
I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance.I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.
Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal. But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval.
