| I have not departed from the commandment of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my portion of food. | Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. |
| But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold. My foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside. | But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. |
| The Almighty—we cannot find him; he is great in power; justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate. | Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. |

| Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. | Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. |
