- But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile.

and not toward selfish gain. - We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.
- Your statutes are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. - Listen, my son, accept what I say,
and the years of your life will be many. - The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless,
but it is the ruin of those who do evil. - Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
