- And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

- Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
- Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity. - Whoever keeps commandments keeps their life,
but whoever shows contempt for their ways will die. - The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
- Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
- We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
- Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.
- So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?
- I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
