- Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.
- I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have given me life. - For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.

but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. - All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
- For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
- For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
- For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
- If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
- So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
- So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
- Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
- Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”.
- I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.
- Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
- Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
- For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
- The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein.
