Life (4/6)

Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many.
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live. For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: “Seek me and live.”
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord!
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
