- Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
- The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.Next verse!With image
