- For we brought nothing into the world, so that we can take nothing out of it; but if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these.

To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”
- Also that the women should dress themselves modestly and decently in suitable clothing, not with their hair braided, or with gold, pearls, or expensive clothes, but with good works, as is proper for women who profess reverence for God.

feed me with the food that I need. - For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?

and favor is better than silver or gold. - All day long the wicked covet,
but the righteous give and do not hold back. - Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common.
- When your eyes light upon it, it is gone;
for suddenly it takes wings to itself,
flying like an eagle toward heaven. - The wealth of the rich is their strong city;
in their imagination it is like a high wall.
