- Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
- But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
- But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).

He does not retain His anger forever,
Because He delights in mercy. - Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him. - For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses,
For they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions;
According to Your mercy remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord. - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
- Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord;
Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me. - Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever. - And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
And establish the work of our hands for us;
Yes, establish the work of our hands. - What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!
- A good man deals graciously and lends;
He will guide his affairs with discretion. - Nevertheless in Your great mercy
You did not utterly consume them nor forsake them;
For You are God, gracious and merciful. - For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
- Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord;
Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive
To the voice of my supplications. - And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
- He who covers his sins will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. - But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
- Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon. - Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
