- He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
- For a child has been born for us,
a son given to us;
authority rests upon his shoulders;
and he is named
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - To you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.
- Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.
- And every day in the temple and at home they did not cease to teach and proclaim Jesus as the Messiah.
- To this day I have had help from God, and so I stand here, testifying to both small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would take place: that the Messiah must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.
- Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. Over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him a thousand years.
Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.Next verse!With image
