- I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws. - At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will depart.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
may the name of the Lord be praised.” - I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors:
You have given me wisdom and power,
you have made known to me what we asked of you,
you have made known to us the dream of the king. - Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.
- The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.Next verse!With image
