- When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.
- All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
- So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
- But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.
Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
