- Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
- With my soul have I desired thee in the night;
yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early:
for when thy judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. - Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
- The memory of the just is blessed:
but the name of the wicked shall rot. - We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
- Riches profit not in the day of wrath:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
- Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.
- I have taught thee in the way of wisdom;
I have led thee in right paths. - Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

- But he knoweth the way that I take:
when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
My foot hath held his steps,
his way have I kept, and not declined. - For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
- Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:
but the just shall live by his faith. - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
- The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again:
but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. - Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
- He keepeth the paths of judgment,
and preserveth the way of his saints. - Let thine eyes look right on,
and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. - The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
- Yea, in the way of thy judgments,
O Lord, have we waited for thee;
the desire of our soul is to thy name,
and to the remembrance of thee. - The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind:
the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down:
the Lord loveth the righteous. - Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts:
and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him;
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
