- There is a way which seemeth right unto a man,
but the end thereof are the ways of death. - For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
he will save us. - I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments,
and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. - The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness. - Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
- But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
- Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
- Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
- The Lord is righteous in all his ways,
and holy in all his works. - And therefore will the Lord wait,
that he may be gracious unto you,
and therefore will he be exalted,
that he may have mercy upon you:
for the Lord is a God of judgment:
blessed are all they that wait for him. - Envy thou not the oppressor,
and choose none of his ways.
For the froward is abomination to the Lord:
but his secret is with the righteous. - Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
- Good and upright is the Lord:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgment:
and the meek will he teach his way. - For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
- Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
who walk in the law of the Lord. - Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous:
he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. - Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
give ear to my supplications:
in thy faithfulness answer me,
and in thy righteousness. - But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
- But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.Next verse!With image
