- Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
- With my soul I have desired You in the night,
Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early;
For when Your judgments are in the earth,
The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. - And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
- The memory of the righteous is blessed,
But the name of the wicked will rot. - We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
- Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
But righteousness delivers from death. - I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.
- Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.
- I have taught you in the way of wisdom;
I have led you in right paths. - Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
- Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
- I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
- But He knows the way that I take;
When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
My foot has held fast to His steps;
I have kept His way and not turned aside. - “For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”
- Behold the proud,
His soul is not upright in him;
But the just shall live by his faith. - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
- The wicked borrows and does not repay,
But the righteous shows mercy and gives. - Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.
- He guards the paths of justice,
And preserves the way of His saints. - Let your eyes look straight ahead,
And your eyelids look right before you. - The tongue of the righteous is choice silver;
The heart of the wicked is worth little. - There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?
- Yes, in the way of Your judgments,
O Lord, we have waited for You;
The desire of our soul is for Your name
And for the remembrance of You. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;
The Lord raises those who are bowed down;
The Lord loves the righteous. - Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
