18 Bible Verses about Sadness

New Internation VersionKatolícky preklad
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.Pán, ktorý je vaším vodcom, bude s tebou, nenechá a neopustí ťa. Neboj sa, ani sa neľakaj!
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.Spravodliví volali a Pán ich vyslyšal a vyslobodil ich zo všetkých tiesní.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.Blahoslavení plačúci, lebo oni budú potešení.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
All my longings lie open before you, Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.Pane, ty poznáš každú moju túžbu; ani moje vzdychy nie sú skryté pred tebou.
For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”A počul som mohutný hlas od trónu hovoriť: „Hľa, Boží stánok je medzi ľuďmi! A bude medzi nimi prebývať; oni budú jeho ľudom a sám Boh - ich Boh - bude s nimi. Zotrie im z očí každú slzu a už nebude smrti ani žiaľu; ani náreku, ani bolesti viac nebude, lebo prvé sa pominulo.“
So then, banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body, for youth and vigor are meaningless.
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.Radujte sa s radujúcimi, plačte s plačúcimi!
“Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.”Teraz však - hovorí Pán - obráťte sa ku mne celým svojím srdcom, pôstom i plačom a nárekom.
‘Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’ ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’Už nebudú hladovať ani žízniť; nebude na nich dorážať ani slnko, ani iná horúčosť, lebo Baránok, čo je v strede pred trónom, bude ich pásť a privedie ich k prameňom vôd života. A Boh im zotrie z očí každú slzu.
Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord.’Vráť sa a povedz Ezechiášovi, kniežaťu môjho ľudu: Toto hovorí Pán, Boh tvojho otca Dávida: Počul som tvoju modlitbu, videl som tvoje slzy; hľa, uzdravím ťa, na tretí deň pôjdeš do Pánovho chrámu.
At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”Tu Jób vstal, roztrhol si odev, oholil si hlavu, padol na zem, klaňal sa a povedal: „ Nahý som vyšiel z lona svojej matky a nahý sa ta vrátim. Pán dal, Pán vzal, nech je Pánovo meno zvelebené!“
Sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.Akoby smutní, no vždy sa radujeme, ako chudobní, a mnohých obohacujeme, akoby sme nič nemali, a pritom nám všetko patrí.
A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.Múdry syn naplňuje (svojho) otca radosťou.
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.A nezarmucujte Svätého Božieho Ducha, v ktorom ste označení pečaťou na deň vykúpenia.
The vine is dried up and the fig tree is withered; the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree— all the trees of the field—are dried up. Surely the people’s joy is withered away.Vinič vyschol, figovníky uvädli, granátniky i palmy a jablone, všetky stromy poľa vyschli, áno, zmizla radosť u ľudí.
