Bible Verses about Salvation

  • There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
  • They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”
  • For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.
  • I wait quietly before God,
    for my victory comes from him.
  • But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
  • Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.
  • For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
  • For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God.
  • For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.
  • The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
  • He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”
  • You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.
  • Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.
  • So also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.
  • You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
  • God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
  • Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
  • For the Lord gave us this command when he said,
    ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles,
    to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’
  • For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.
  • Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
  • For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.
  • God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
  • You have given me your shield of victory.
    Your right hand supports me;
    your help has made me great.
    You have made a wide path for my feet
    to keep them from slipping.
  • And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.
  • Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails,
and the fields lie empty and barren;
even though the flocks die in the fields,
and the cattle barns are empty,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
