  • For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
  • By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

    the fig tree languishes.

  • Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.

So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
  • Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
    if you find it, there will be a future,
    and your hope will not be cut off.
  • By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.
  • Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
  • But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”
  • And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
  • And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
  • So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone.
  • So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
  • Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
