- But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
- The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
- Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain:
but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. - Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
- He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction:
but he that refuseth reproof erreth. - The way of the Lord is strength to the upright:
but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. - But let judgment run down as waters,
and righteousness as a mighty stream. - But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
- Without counsel purposes are disappointed:

- For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
- Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
- He that covereth a transgression seeketh love;
but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends. - But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
- And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
- Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:
but the just shall live by his faith. - Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
- Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil:
but to the counsellors of peace is joy. - I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
- But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
- It is an honour for a man to cease from strife:
but every fool will be meddling. - But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
