Bible Verses about 'Day'

  • Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
  • But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
  • One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.
  • The Lord has done it this very day;
    let us rejoice today and be glad.
  • My mouth is filled with your praise,
    declaring your splendor all day long.
  • The heavens declare the glory of God;
    the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
    Day after day they pour forth speech;
    night after night they reveal knowledge.
  • When I kept silent,
    my bones wasted away
    through my groaning all day long.

    but righteousness delivers from death.

On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
  • Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
  • Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
  • By day the Lord directs his love,
    at night his song is with me—
    a prayer to the God of my life.
  • If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.

In that day you will say:
“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted.”
