- But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
- Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
- For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
- Treasures of wickedness profit nothing:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil:
he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in
from this time forth, and even for evermore. - But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
- For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
- I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
- Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. - We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments.
- And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
- Have mercy upon me, O God,
according to thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin. - Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever;
thy throne from generation to generation. - From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
- Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
- And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. - The face of the Lord is against them that do evil,
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. - If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
- And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house.
- If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
- I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
- And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
- This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working.
Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.Next verse!With image
