- God is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? - Our God is in the heavens;
he does all that he pleases. - Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near. - The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low and he exalts. - He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber. - And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
- He must increase, but I must decrease.
- We love because he first loved us.
- Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.
- But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
- And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments, and he wrote them on two tablets of stone.
- By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.”
- Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved. - For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things. - The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us.
- When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength. - So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them. - He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.
- Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it. - He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him. - And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
- I sought the Lord, and he answered me
and delivered me from all my fears.
When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be liable for any other public duty. He shall be free at home one year to be happy with his wife whom he has taken.Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding,
but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.Next verse!With image
