- So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” - For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands. - See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
- Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
- Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
- Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
- And rend your hearts and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
and he relents over disaster. - Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
- And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes.
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
