How great is your love (4/4)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation.
This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is a wonderful teacher, and he gives the farmer great wisdom.
Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. We cannot imagine the power of the Almighty; but even though he is just and righteous, he does not destroy us.
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds.
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.
Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me. Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.
Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness.
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles. But God has protected me right up to this present time so I can testify to everyone, from the least to the greatest. I teach nothing except what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and be the first to rise from the dead, and in this way announce God’s light to Jews and Gentiles alike.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!
And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.
