How great is your love (4/4)

  • The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
  • For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
  • Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, make you complete in everything good so that you may do his will, working among us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
  • How happy is the one whom God reproves;
    therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.
  • If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
  • The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.
  • For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from fornication;
    that each one of you know how to control your own body in holiness and honor,
    not with lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God.
  • Be mindful of your mercy, O Lord, and of your steadfast love,
    for they have been from of old.
    Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
    according to your steadfast love remember me,
    for your goodness' sake, O Lord!
  • The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
    your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
    Do not forsake the work of your hands.
  • What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it?
  • This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
  • I have made a covenant with my eyes;
    how then could I look upon a virgin?
  • He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
  • We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of everyone of you for one another is increasing.
  • Let all that you do be done in love.
  • I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
  • But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
  • May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.
  • I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.
  • This also comes from the Lord of hosts;
    he is wonderful in counsel,
    and excellent in wisdom.
  • With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
  • I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.
  • You are altogether beautiful, my love;
    there is no flaw in you.
  • You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot.

I lift up my eyes to the hills—
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
