    Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising,
    thou understandest my thought afar off.
  • The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
    and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
  • For there is not a word in my tongue,
    but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
  • An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour:
    but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
  • Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
  • As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
  • And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
