Bible Verses about 'Other'

  • No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
  • And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
  • The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
  • Know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
  • Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
  • Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
  • In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.
  • But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.
  • For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
  • Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
  • For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
  • Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
  • For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly execute justice one with another, if you do not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own harm, then I will let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever.
  • When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be liable for any other public duty. He shall be free at home one year to be happy with his wife whom he has taken.
  • For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
  • You shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine.
  • Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
  • For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.
  • For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
  • See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.
  • This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
  • We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.
  • And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.
