- And that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love.
For you will render to a man
according to his work. - O God, you are my God;
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land
where there is no water. - Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands. - For you, O God, have tested us;
you have tried us as silver is tried. - I cried to him with my mouth,
and high praise was on my tongue. - God shall bless us;
let all the ends of the earth fear him! - Sing to God, sing praises to his name;
lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts;
his name is the Lord;
exult before him!
Father of the fatherless and protector of widows
is God in his holy habitation. - God settles the solitary in a home;
he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. - Blessed be the Lord,
who daily bears us up;
God is our salvation. Selah - My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all the day. - My lips will shout for joy,
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have redeemed. - Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. - Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us, and atone for our sins,
for your name's sake! - Restore us, O Lord God of hosts!
Let your face shine, that we may be saved! - Give justice to the weak and the fatherless;
maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. - For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness. - For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. - Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
unite my heart to fear your name. - Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. - For a thousand years in your sight
are but as yesterday when it is past,
or as a watch in the night. - So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom. - Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands! - He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” - He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
When I thought, “My foot slips,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”Next verse!With image
