- Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope. - Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
- The hand of the diligent shall bear rule:
but the slothful shall be under tribute. - If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

- Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart,

hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God. - For thou, O God, hast proved us:
thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. - Blessed is he
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. - Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. - And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
- And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
- But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day. - But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
- He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
- Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
- And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
- And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
- Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee. - And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
