- I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

but the name of the wicked shall rot. - For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
- Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:
but the just shall live by his faith. - Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth,
and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.Next verse!With image
