Bible Verses about 'Tongues'
- They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
- Save me, Lord,
from lying lips
and from deceitful tongues. - If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.
