Bible Verses about 'Toward'

  • I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
  • The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous
    and his ears toward their cry.
  • When your eyes light on it, it is gone,
    for suddenly it sprouts wings,
    flying like an eagle toward heaven.
  • Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
  • For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
    and I will remember their sins no more.
  • Incline my heart to your testimonies,
    and not to selfish gain!
  • Glory to God in the highest,
    and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!
  • And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you.
  • And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
  • Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
  • The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
  • May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus.
  • For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
  • Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.
  • And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
  • For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.
  • In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
  • We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.
  • And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
  • Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
  • For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
  • The Lord bless you and keep you;
    the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
    the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
  • Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
  • So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
