  • What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
  • So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
  • The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
  • He revealeth the deep and secret things:
    he knoweth what is in the darkness,
    and the light dwelleth with him.
  • And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
  • For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
  • Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
  • What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
  • What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
  • But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?
