- And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
- Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
- Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
- If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
from doing thy pleasure on my holy day;
and call the sabbath a delight,
the holy of the Lord, honourable;
and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways,
nor finding thine own pleasure,
nor speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord;
and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth,
and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father:
for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. - Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
- But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
- But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
- And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
- But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
- Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
- For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
- I delight to do thy will, O my God:
yea, thy law is within my heart. - Wash you, make you clean;
put away the evil of your doings
from before mine eyes;
cease to do evil. - For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
- Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
- This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
- For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
- Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
- Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
- And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house.
- But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
- Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
- Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Good and upright is the Lord:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgment:
and the meek will he teach his way.Blessed is he
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.Next verse!With image
